01Introduction
The AAROHAN AI Fellowship Program (“AAROHAN”, “we”, “us”) is a skilling initiative supported by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and operated with Fynity Innovations as its technology and innovation partner. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
It covers the AAROHAN public website, the student enquiry and registration forms on it, and the AAROHAN training portal used by program managers, teaching assistants and viewers to run the fellowship. By using these services or submitting your details to us, you agree to the practices described here.
We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the rules made under them.

03How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below.
- To respond to your enquiry and contact you about the fellowship program, including eligibility, selection, batch allotment and joining details.
- To administer training operations: enrolment, curriculum and schedule planning, attendance, assessments, daily reporting and certification.
- To measure learning outcomes and program performance through aggregated analytics and reports shared with program staff and the supporting government department.
- To create, secure and support portal accounts, and to keep an audit trail of significant actions taken in the portal.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling unrelated to the fellowship program.
04Consent and legal basis
When you submit the registration or enquiry form, you consent to us using the details you provide to contact you about AAROHAN and to assess your application. Where processing is needed to deliver the fellowship you have joined, to meet a legal obligation, or to carry out a function of the State related to a subsidy, benefit or service, we rely on the corresponding lawful ground under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us at info@aarohan.ap.gov.in. Withdrawal applies to future processing; it does not affect anything already done lawfully, and it may mean we can no longer consider your application or continue your enrolment.
06Storage, security and retention
Personal data is stored on servers located in India. We apply technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), authenticated access, role-based permissions, password hashing, restricted administrative access and logging of significant actions.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that affects you, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you do not join a program, for a reasonable period afterwards so we can tell you about later cohorts. Learner and training records are kept for the duration of the program and afterwards for the period required for certification, audit and statutory record-keeping. When data is no longer needed for these purposes and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
07Learners and minors
Learner records in the portal are maintained by AAROHAN staff as part of running the fellowship; learners themselves do not hold portal logins. If you are a learner and want to see or correct what is recorded about you, contact your program manager or write to us using the details below.
The program is intended for applicants aged 18 and above. Where a participant is below 18, we process their data only with verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian, we do not track their behaviour for advertising, and we limit processing to what is necessary to deliver the training.
09Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data of yours we process and obtain a summary of it, along with who we have shared it with.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or misleading, and complete or update data that is incomplete or out of date.
- Erase personal data that is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapacitated.
Write to info@aarohan.ap.gov.in from the email address you registered with, describing your request. We may ask for information to verify your identity, and we will respond within the timelines set by applicable law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.
You are expected to give accurate information and not to impersonate anyone else or file frivolous or false complaints.
10Third-party links and services
Our pages may link to government portals, partner organisations, learning resources or social media. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. Please read their policies before sharing information with them.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the program, the platform or the law changes. The revised version takes effect when published on this page, and the “last updated” date at the top will change. If the change materially affects how we use your personal data, we will give you a clearer notice, and where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
For any question about this policy, to exercise your rights, or to raise a grievance about how your personal data has been handled, contact the AAROHAN program office. Please mention 'Privacy' in the subject line so your request reaches the right team.
